About Us.
Founded in Southwark in 1875, on Southwark Bridge Road by the Saville family. Mr Percy Saville moved the business to Wembley in 1931, to its present location on the corner of Napier Road and the High road. Accompanied by his wife, Ethel, who managed the office.
Their son, Graham joined the business in 1965, followed by his wife, Susan in 1985. And in turn, Both their two sons – Adrian and Phillip, joined the family, in 1985 and 1990 respectively. History was made, when both Brothers were awarded the highest marks in the London area and both awarded the prestigious Harold Rivett Award in their respective years.
They opened their branch in Wealdstone in 1956 and purchased L.J. Butler & son in Kenton along with Stonebridge Funeral service in Edgware in 1985. A W Blackman funeral service, in Wealdstone, was acquired in 2002, to complete their business.
A change in business direction in recent times, has seen both the Edgware & A W Blackman offices close, with all calls still being looked after by the existing branches.
Phillip left the business in early 2019 and no longer works in the Funeral profession.
Funeral Directors.
Both Graham and Susan, have held the position of President of the London Association of Funeral Directors and Susan was subsequently elected President of the National Association of Funeral Directors in 2008. Graham and Susan retired in early 2020.
Current Management.
Their son, Adrian, has over 35 years experience.
In 1995, he qualified with the National Association of Funeral Directors Diploma, gaining the highest marks in London that year and is a fully qualified, licensed Funeral Director with the British Institute of Funeral Directors.
He is responsible for the day to day running of the business, overseeing the Wembley and Harrow offices.
Assisted by his Manager, Mr Lee Cook, who oversees the Kenton Office.
Adrian is currently a member of the London Association of Funeral Directors Executive committee.
