We always start by talking things through with you, as all our ceremonies and celebrations of life are personal in every detail, even if you’re choosing a direct cremation.
We can come to you or you can come to us – or we can arrange everything by phone, live video chat with one of The Open advisors, email and post if you prefer. We’ll proactively manage everything - and always keep you up to date with progress. We'll prepare a draft ‘Timeline and Words’ document to send to you, updated by us and sent to you whenever anything changes.
We'll help you with choosing a special or beautiful venue too if you'd like, indoors or outside - at home, in your garden, in a field or woods, a rural barn, by a lake or by the sea, in a village hall - as well as more traditional venues like a church, chapel or crematorium. We can also give you ideas and help with organising wakes and ashes ceremonies.
