Roseberry Funeral Service Ltd - Guisborough

01287 260180

HCL House, Rectory Lane, Guisborough, TS14 7DL

Roseberry Funeral Service was first opened in December 2014 on Coatham Road in Redcar by Michelle, our principle Funeral Director and Managing Director. This was a labour of love that followed for many years within the funeral profession. The career she followed included being a mortuary technician, Funeral Director for a large company, and an assessor of funeral qualifications. In each of these roles, Michelle is fully qualified.

The value of "providing a personal and attentive service when you need it most" is of the upmost importance to everyone at Roseberry Funeral Service. We are constantly looking at how to improve the services that we offer and to ensure that each and every funeral is unique and fairly priced.

Our commitment to personal service lead to the expansion of the property at Redcar and the opening of an office at Marske and Guisborough. We now have expanded to have our own fleet of hearse and limousines, as well as a dedicated Private Ambulance.

We understand that the thought of arranging the funeral of a loved one is distressing. Bereavement leaves many families shocked, unsure of what to do and unsure of what their first steps should be. Our team has a wealth of experience and has helped many families through the most difficult time in their lives. We are here to support you in making the funeral as personal to you as possible.

Many people over the years have asked Michelle:

"Why are you called Roseberry's?"

"During my funeral career, I lived and worked in Somerset, London and the North East. Whenever I came back to visit everyone at home, I knew I was back when I saw Roseberry Topping. I wanted to make it feel like I was bringing people home and hopefully give families the comfort it gave to me. It always gave me an emotional feeling that I was back.............. I was home."

We understand that the thought of arranging a funeral of a loved one is distressing. Bereavement leaves many families shocked, unsure of what to do and confused about the first steps to take.

Our staff have a wealth of experience and have helped many families through the most difficult time in their lives. Our funeral directors will guide you through this process, each step of the way.

Our funeral directors are on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Our offices are open Monday to Thursday 9 am-4:30 pm and Friday 10 am-4:30 pm. Our telephone calls are covered 24 hours a day, we do not entrust our calls to 3rd parties so should you call us out of our office hours, you can be assured of speaking with one of our dedicated team.

Why choose a prepaid funeral plan?

Taking out a prepaid funeral plan can bring many benefits to you and your family. Some of these may include:

  • Alleviates financial burden - one of the benefits of taking out a funeral plan is securing the funeral directors services at today’s price, these are guaranteed to be covered at the time of need if fully paid. Disbursements are not fully guaranteed though, there could be a shortfall which your family may have to cover, see terms and conditions or talk to us for more details.
  • Reduces emotional stress - planning a loved one’s funeral can be an emotionally challenging time for family and close friends. By planning your funeral before the time comes, this could reduce emotional and financial stress for your loved ones.
  • Tailor made for you - by arranging your funeral ahead of time, you are able to design it specifically to your own individual requirements – meaning its bespoke to you and your preferences.

Tailor-made funeral plans

If none of the set plans are exactly what you had in mind, we can work with you to create a tailor-made funeral plan that specifically meets your needs. You may find it useful to use one of our pre-existing prepaid funeral plans as a guide to help you begin the process. Then you could add an extra limousine, for example, or decide that you would prefer the service to take place in your local church rather than a crematorium chapel.

Whatever your thoughts, talk to us and we'll guide you through the funeral planning process. We will then check with your preferred funeral director fees and charges in our system that all prices and elements are correct before confirming with you. We will detail all the fees and charges giving you a final amount to pay. Whatever your agreed plans, the funeral directors services are guaranteed to be provided with no further costs at the time of need. There may be a contribution required at the time of need in relation to disbursement costs, see terms for full details.
